The Fig Tree is the home for many groups and activities throughout the week. These are FREE to join and include refreshments – though donations are always welcome.

Share Cafe – Thursday 28th September 7.30pm – 9pm
This cafe provides time with people walking the grieving journey. Come for a hot drink, piece of cake and time with people who understand. Everyone will have opportunities to listen and talk.
Let’s Get Cooking! Enjoy learning some simple recipes and take home some great food. Led by an experienced, professional chef. Meet on Tuesday 20th August, 2pm to plan the recipes, and on Tuesdays 3rd, 10th & 17th September to do the cooking.

TRAINS – The wonderful large-scale model trains will be running again at ‘Dads and Children’ on Saturday, July 27th, 10am – 12 noon. Don’t miss them!
REGULAR EVENTS:
Oasis – Every Monday . 10 – 11 am. Need a place of quiet…..just to sit and soak up the peace? Come and sit a while, listen to gentle music, watch a slide show of beautiful scenes in nature, perhaps light a candle. Stop for 10 mins or stay an hour. We will serve refreshments after 11am, and you are welcome to stay on.
FRONT ROOM -come along with your painting, drawing, knitting, darning…….or whatever you want to do in your Front Room….Meet other people and have a good chat. 2pm – 4pm.
Meeting Place – Tuesdays, 10am – 12 noon Come along if you need some Language Support and want to make new freinds.
MEMORY CAFE – the second Wednesday of the month. 10am – 12noon. The next sessions are on March 13th [With Citizens’ Advice], April 10th [With ‘Memory Boxes’ from the Museum in the Park] and May 8th [With Mindsong]
LET’S MAKE MUSIC! Musical activities for the very young. A time of exploration for you and your child. Wednesdays, 2pm-4pm
TODDLERS – Thursdays. 10am – 12noon
BABIES – Thursdays, 1pm – 3pm – for those with a new baby – an opportunity to meet other new parents.
CRAFT MORNING – Fridays, 10am – 12noon Crafts for all the family. Get creative with your child. No skills required! Suitable for pre-school children.
After School Every Friday, after school, 3:30 – 4.40. Toys and games for the children, time to chat with other parents. [Has stopped now for the School Summer Holiday – will return in September]
DADS AND CHILDREN – Saturdays 10am – 12noon. Enjoy games, books and toys in a safe space.
