Goodwillfest, 6th December: We will be supporting the town Christmas celebrations with a craft activity for children from 2pm.

Carol Evening, 18th December, 7:30pm. Come along and sing your favourite Christmas Carols at 7:30pm. Followed by seasonal refreshments.

CALLING ALL STONEHOUSE BABIES!

Bring your Mums, Dads and carers to our Thursday (1.30 – 4.00 pm) Babies group. There are lots of toys for you and a chance for your grown ups to chat and have a cuppa.

Parents and Carers: This group gives you a chance to chat about the joys and stresses of new parenthood and maybe find solutions to the things you find difficult.

SATURDAY DAD’S GROUP

Saturday at The Fig Tree is the place to be if you are a Dad with your children.

Come between 10.00 -12.00 noon – meet other dads while your children play.

CARD SHOP – selling, quite possibly, the best greetings cards and gift wrap in Stonehouse, for every occasion.

The Card Shop is open: Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm and Saturday, 10am – 12 noon.

Every card you buy from The Fig Tree supports our community work .

We have a new delivery of Christmas cards in, so do come and have a browse.

Whether you are saying Happy Birthday, Congratulations or Thinking of you, there is a card at the Fig Tree for you and many more….

The Fig Tree is the home of many groups and activities throughout the week.

These are FREE to join and include refreshments – though donations are always welcome.

All of our sessions are provided for people who live in the GL10 postcode area.

Some new sessions for 2025.

Maker’s Cafe Tuesday 2nd December 2025 7.30-9.00 pm: Bring something you are working on and spend some time with other makers. If you have crafting materials to pass on there will be a stash share.

The Quiet Book Group Tuesday 18th November, 16th December 2-3.30 am: No set book, no reading to a deadline-just come for a quiet 30 minutes of reading and then share a bookish chat and cuppa. There will be a book swapping table, too.

Share and Care Cafe Fourth Wednesday of the month 10.30-12.00: 17th December, January 28th, Feb 25th, March 25th, April 22nd, May 27th, June 24th.

Someone in your life may have died, or be in care, you maybe a carer and feel the loss of your own identity and the person you care for.

This friendly safe space can offer you support on your journey of loss, companionship and an informed listening ear

REGULAR EVENTS:

Oasis – Every Monday 10am – 12noon. Need a place of quiet…..just to sit and soak up the peace? Come and sit a while, listen to gentle music, watch a slide show of beautiful scenes in nature, perhaps light a candle. Stop for 10 mins or stay an hour. We will serve refreshments after 10.30 am, and you are welcome to stay on.

FRONT ROOM -come along, chat, play board games, bring something creative to do…….or whatever you want to do in your Front Room….Meet other people and have a good chat. 2pm – 4pm. Drinks and biscuits, sometimes cakes too!

MEETING PLACE- Tuesdays, 10am – 12 noon Come along if you need some Language Support and want to make new freinds.

MEMORY CAFE – the second Wednesday of the month. 10am – 12noon. The next session is on 10th September.

LET’S MAKE MUSIC! Come along with your little ones to enjoy singing for as long as the children wish, then stay and play Wednesdays, 2pm-4pm

TODDLERS – Thursdays. 10am – 12noon

BABIES – Thursdays, 1pm – 4pm – for those with a new baby – an opportunity to meet other new parents.

CRAFT MORNING – Fridays, 10am – 12noon Crafts for all the family. Get creative with your child. No special skills required! Suitable for pre-school children.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB – Every Friday, after school, 3:00 – 4.30. Toys, games and a craft for the children, time to chat with other parents.

DADS AND CHILDREN – Saturdays 10am – 12noon. Enjoy games, books and toys in a safe space.
